Who is responsible
SMART SITE SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, 2 Lomax Street, Greenmount, Bury, England, BL8 4BH, is responsible for personal information collected through smartsitesoftwaretech.dev. Contact: engineering@smartsitesoftwaretech.dev.
What the forms collect
The project and support forms send your name, email address, message and consent confirmation, plus optional phone number, organisation and service choices. A callback request adds your phone number and preferred time to the message. A hidden field helps block automated spam and must stay empty. We use these details only to answer your enquiry or provide the service you ask about.
Hosting and email processing
The site is served by a web hosting provider, which processes technical information such as IP addresses in server logs as part of delivering pages. Form submissions are passed to the hosting provider's mail system and delivered to our mailbox. Your message is not stored in a website database.
Abuse protection
To limit misuse, the form handler keeps a short-lived counter keyed to a pseudonymous hash of your IP address and this domain, outside the public website folder. It allows a small number of attempts within 15 minutes. Expired counter files are deleted when later requests are processed.
Cookies and browser storage
This site installs no analytics, advertising or other optional cookies, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. On your first visit we ask for a cookie choice; the answer ("necessary only" or "reject optional") is saved in your browser's local storage so the question does not repeat. Both choices have the same effect because nothing optional is used. You can change it with the "Cookie choice" button in the footer. Form drafts and release checklist ticks are kept in session storage in your own browser only and disappear when the tab closes.
How long we keep information
Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to respond, provide any agreed service, and meet legal obligations. We do not set a fixed period on this page; the owner must confirm the actual retention policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, or object to its use. Write to us at the address above. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes
We will update this notice if the way the site handles information changes.
